SHORE TRAFFIC, LABOR DAY MORNING: ROUTE 47 SLOW IN SPOTS

Traffic leaving the Jersey Shore early Monday morning was slow at spots along Route 47 in Middle Township.  State transportation officials report slow going on the highway leading to the 347 split.  Traffic is expected to be gridlocked in the northbound direction on parts of Route 47 throughout the day and early evening. ##

BREAKING: PENNSYLVANIA MAN DROWNS OFF WILDWOOD BEACH

A 35 year old man from Middletown, Pennsylvania drowned off the Leaming Avenue beach in Wildwood Sunday afternoon.  City police say the body of the man was ultimately found floating in the water at Rambler Avenue in Wildwood Crest.  The identity of the victim has not been released. ##

SOUTH JERSEY MAN KILLED IN CRASH ON GARDEN STATE PARKWAY

35 year old Barnegat man lost his life during a single vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway Saturday night.  State Police said Daniel Forrest lost control of his vehicle near milepost 69.9 and struck several trees.  A passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and sent to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
