NTSB RELEASES REPORT ON BANNER PLANE ACCIDENT

The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report regarding a banner plane accident in Middle Township nine days ago.  The report indicates that the plane’s engine lost power and the 20 year old pilot landed it in a marsh.  The pilot was certified to fly the aircraft. ##

WILDWOOD POLICE DOG, HANDLER BOTH COMPLETE SPECIAL TRAINING

Wildwood’s new police dog “Vera” and her handler, Patrolman Christopher Katz, have both completed their training at the Atlantic County K9 Academy.  Wildwood Police announced on social media that both Vera and Katz were trained on K9 patrol practices and for narcotics detection.  Katz was also awarded the academy’s Instructor Appreciation Award. ##

DAIRY QUEEN ON NORTH WILDWOOD BOARDWALK DAMAGED BY FIRE

A Dairy Queen ice cream store on the North Wildwood boardwalk suffered some damage during a minor fire on Monday.  Fire officials say the fire likely started under the boardwalk and touched a corner of the store.  There were no injuries. ## Photo:  Watch the Tram Car Please social media page

DELAWARE MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT ALONG ROUTE 55

There has been yet another fatal accident along Route 55 in Cumberland County.  State Police say an SUV driven by 45 year old David Janowski of Newark, Delaware overturned in the center median of the highway Monday night in Vineland.  Janowski was pronounced dead at a local hospital. ##
