REPORT: LOCAL TEEN DIED OF DRUG OVERDOSE

A 13 year old boy from Middle Township died from an overdose that included heroin and fentanyl.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that Jamie Lund, the mother of Vincent Weiner, confirmed the account of her son’s death on social media over the weekend.  Weiner was a local seventh grade student.   ##

MARGATE RESIDENTS PROTEST RESUMPTION OF DUNE WORK

Margate’s long standing issues with a dune and beach project continued Sunday as residents protested the resumption of the work, scheduled to begin again on Tuesday. A federal judge ruled that the project may continue, but any area with more than two inches of standing water must be roped off from the public. ##

Wildwood’s first major beach concert of the season appears to be a no-go. Various ticket outlets including Ticketfly reported over the weekend that a concert featuring Asia, War, and a former lead singer from Journey scheduled for August 19th is “postponed”.
