MILLVILLE TEEN CHARGED WITH BREAKING JAW OF ANOTHER TEEN

Millville Police say a 14 year old juvenile is charged with aggravated assault after he broke the jaw of another teen with a punch.  Authorities say the victim is recovering from his injuries after being hospitalized in Delaware.  The victim’s mother made a post on social media detailing the crime. ##

TOWNSEND’S INLET BRIDGE TO RE-OPEN FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Townsend’s Inlet Bridge will re-open Friday afternoon. According to a County notice posted on the Borough of Avalon’s website, the bridge will re-open to vehicular traffic sometime Friday afternoon. The bridge has been shut down for many weeks after undermining of the bridge was discovered by the County during a scheduled underwater inspection. ##

A $100,000 federal grant is coming to the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company. Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced that the grant will be used to help obtain critical life saving equipment. Woodbine received $52,000 from the same program 15 years ago. ##
