DEVELOPING STORY: BAYFRONT STRUCTURES FIRE IN WILDWOOD CREST

Firefighters in southern Cape May County are responding to what is believed to be a structure fire in Wildwood Crest.  Scanner reports indicate that the fire is located at 7104 Park Boulevard in the Crest and more than one multi-story is involved.  We will update information when it becomes available. ##

OCEAN CITY PLANS MAJOR PROJECT TO ALLEVIATE FLOODING

Ocean City will put a major project out to bid this summer to help alleviate flooding at Third Street and Bay Avenue.  Mayor Jay Gillian reports that the project will cost millions of dollars, and work on the new pump station should begin in late fall. ##

The annual Sea Isle City Food Truck Invitational was a huge success over the weekend.  Thousands of guests enjoyed various foods from trucks that came as far away as New York State.  The festival is one of many large food truck festivals happening in the South Jersey region this summer. ##

TWO CHARGED WITH SHOOTING AT FAST FOOD RESTAURANT IN AC

Two men have been charged in connection with a robbery and shooting at a Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Atlantic City earlier this month.  Police have charged 20 year old Jeshua Sammons and 22 year old Bilal Freeman in connection with the crime.  An employee of the store suffered a non-life threatening injury. ##

TWO DEAD IN WEEKEND MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT IN SOUTH JERSEY

Two people riding a motorcycle were killed in an accident between the bike and a car in Salem County.  State Police say a vehicle went through an intersection in Mannington Township Saturday.  Both people on the bike were killed; police believe the driver of the car did not see the motorcycle coming. ##

SEARS CLOSES ONE STORE IN NJ, OTHER SURVIVE

The parent company of Sears and Kmart is closing 20 additional stores, including a Sears located in Watchung.  All of the remaining Sears stores, including those in our area, are safe for now.  The Sears in Vineland is slated to close in a few months. ##
