VINELAND MAN CHARGED WITH CARJACKING

A 31 year old man has been charged by police in Vineland with carjacking a vehicle with a child in the back seat.  Police say Pedro A. Ortiz of Plum Street is charged with first degree carjacking and other offenses relating to the crime. ##

MAN LEAVES LIQUOR STORE WITH BOOZE IN HIS PANTS

Vineland Police are searching for a man who left a liquor store with six bottles of booze in his sweatpants.  Police say the theft occurred at the Brewster Fine Wine and Liquor store.  A female accomplice distracted the clerk while the man escaped. ##

SEA ISLE NIXES PLAN TO EXTEND OUTDOOR DINING, FOR NOW

A plan that would extend the hours for outdoor dining in Sea Isle City is dead, for now.  Council could not get enough votes to introduce an ordinance that would have extended outdoor dining by an hour, to midnight.  Council may ultimately extend the hours for outdoor music instead. ##

REPORT: COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S CLAIM AGAINST DEMARZO TOSSED

THREE BUSTED IN MARGATE, BEACH FIGHT INCLUDED HUNDREDS

A Memorial Day weekend beach fight in Margate that included about 300 young adults has resulted in three arrests.  Police say three young adults were charged with assault and disorderly conduct following the disturbance; some teens were drinking on the beach, and using marijuana. ##
