FISHING RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE FOR 2017 FLOUNDER SEASON

The severe restrictions on flounder catch will be in place for the upcoming fishing season.  The New Jersey Marine Fisheries Council approved new federal regulations on flounder fishing during its meeting Wednesday.  Experts believe flounder have been over fished for about a decade. ##

ARRESTS POSSIBLE THIS WEEK INVOLVING MILLVILLE SHOOTOUT

Arrests are forthcoming in connection with a wild shootout in Millville Monday night.  Three vehicles were struck by gunfire and a baseball game was halted for player safety during the shooting which took place near South High Street.  No one was shot; suspects have been identified. ##

CRDA GIVES THUMBS UP TO ATLANTIC CITY BEER GARDEN

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has given a thumbs up to a beer garden in Atlantic City.  The Authority approved a plan to put the beer garden between South California and South Belmont Avenues.  Over 300 people may be accommodated, and there will be two bars.  It could open July 4th. ##
