OCEAN CITY CANS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HOUSING AUTHORITY

Ocean City has fired 54 year old Alesia Watson as the executive director of the city’s housing authority.  Watson was fired after she pleaded guilty to charges that embezzled funds while on the job.  Watson used public funds to buy nearly 70 MasterCard gift cards for her family. ##

STATE SCRAMBLES TO MAKE UP REVENUE SHORTFALL IN BUDGET

VOICE RECORDER FOUND IN NEW JERSEY JET CRASH

The voice recorder has been found from the Lear jet that crashed in northern New Jersey earlier this week.  The National Transportation Safety Board began its investigation Tuesday, and officials on site say the wind was a concern at the time of the accident that claimed two lives. ##

REPORT: LEGENDARY LOCAL SINGER BUBBA MAC PASSES AWAY AT 73

A local music legend has passed away at the age of 73.  Herb “Bubba Mac” Birch died Tuesday morning following a long music career at the Jersey Shore which also saw him Bubba Mac’s Shack in Somers Point 17 years ago.  The Gazette Leader reports that Birch had several health issues recently. ##

LOWER TWP. POLICE CHARGE MAN WITH DRUG OFFENSES

Lower Township Police have charged a 26 year old man from North Cape May with multiple drug offenses following a motor vehicle stop 12 days ago.  Brendon Glinecke was arrested after police found drugs in his vehicle.  Glinecke resisted arrest and was eventually processed on several criminal charges. ##

CONGRESSMAN LOBIONDO CONCERNED ABOUT TRUMP DISCUSSIONS

Count New Jersey Congressman Frank LoBiondo among those very concerned about any intelligence discussions President Trump had with Russia.  LoBiondo says he will bring up the issue at a House Intelligence Committee meeting later this week.  The President reportedly discussed classified information with Russia during a meeting at the White House. ##
