ATM STOLEN FROM COURT HOUSE DINER

Middle Township Police say someone stole an ATM from the Court House Diner over the holiday weekend.  The machine contained over $4,000 in currency and was removed from the property after the phone, cable, and internet lines to the diner were cut.  Police have no suspects in custody. ##

AVALON BEACH FILL PROJECT ENDS OVER HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Avalon’s beach fill project was completed during the first half of Memorial Day weekend.  Beaches from 77th Street to 80th Street have new sand; Avalon placed about one million cubic yards of sand on its beaches in advance of summer.  This major project ends with sand being placed on Stone Harbor’s northern beaches. ##

What did Bruce Springsteen do after visiting the Wildwood boardwalk on Thursday? He joined fellow E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt for a shower at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank.  Springsteen was spotted walking the Wildwood boardwalk before the weekend, fueling speculation a summer beach concert may be coming. ##
