New Jersey’s government shutdown continues Monday with more meetings planned and no end to the lockout in sight. Governor Christie has closed even more state offices including travel and tourism offices and courts. A special session of the New Jersey Legislature is being convened this morning in attempt to end the stalemate. ##
41 year old Keith Clark has allegedly downloaded 3,500 images of child pornography despite being a registered sex offender. Clark remains in custody after being charged with downloading images that show infants and toddler being sexually abused.
No resolution is in sight for the shutdown of New Jersey’s government, as Monday begins the third day with no budget agreement. Senate President Steve Sweeney will meet with Robert Marino, CEO of Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey, on Monday in attempt to unlock the stalemate.
Sea Isle City held a reorganization meeting of City Council over the holiday weekend. Council members J.B. Feeley, Jack Gibson, and Mary Tighe all received their respective oaths of office after securing Council seats in the May election.
