NOT OUT OF THE WOODS: ACTIVE HURRICANE SEASON POSSIBLE IN ATLANTIC

There could be a very active hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean this summer and fall. The National Oceanic Administration’s Climate Prediction Center announced this week that an “extremely” active hurricane season still looms and there is a 60 percent change of between 14 and 19 named storms this season. ##

DRENCHING THUNDERSTORMS COULD AFFECT CAPE MONDAY

The National Weather Service has put Cape May County under a risk for some rain and heavy thunderstorms on Monday. It’s possible that drenching storms could put an inch or two of rain on our region, especially Monday afternoon. That may result in some localized street flooding. ##
